book - Dead Until Dark

I started the first True Blood book yesterday (Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris) I'm about half way through.  I'm enjoying it very much it has a good flow.

It is is first person and if you don't know (and have been living under a rock) it is a romantic Supernatural mystery.  It's a Vampire book.  I have fallen for a chericter named Sam (the main chericters boss) so he MUST be a werewolf (becasue for me to feel that strongly about a chericter the moment I'm introduced to him he's either a werewolf or a gay man)

I'm not much of a vampire fan - but really it's what is out there.  There aren't a huge number of good werewolf books out there (and I think I've read most of them)

If you want more info on this book let me know and I will post (or PM)  - I don't want to spoil it for anyone.

I don't have HBO either, but at work we got a free screener copy of the pilot and I was hooked, so I finagle my way into seeing them and then will buy the DVDs when they come out to make up for it, heh.

I'll definitely check the book series out!

And at least as far as the show goes, they actually have been building up to a reveal that went down this week's episode that yeah, he's some sort of shapeshifter- from what I can tell on the show it's kind of a ...werecollie, hehe. But they haven't explained anything yet, so who knows, and I have no idea how true to the books they're being.
