You would think they're in the fucking arctic with the way they're dressed.

I'm sitting here with the porch door and the windows open and they're bundled up like Eskimos.

I'm amused by this.

I know it's like *almost* 60 here and I'm in Elsmere - it's not *that* far. I worked in a long sleave tee today.

And Amada Tappin works in Vancover - she should be used to this.

I would give anything to do an investigation of that place...

The last time I was there in the daylight (I did their "haunted Halloween tour" a few years ago - it was horrible) was about 20 years ago and it was crumbling around us...

we useuly go over for the Civel War stuff. Re-enactors and all. I've never done a re enactment ove there - just as a guest. But there are places that I want out of before I even go in.

I have trouble with the entryway - I sat doen on the stairs there once and it felt like I was being shocked.

I'm preparing for Samhain...got my circle set up and my altar. We gotta get the doggies fed yet and I have to get dressed and consecrate the circle. Of course, Dan is the only one assisting in this and he's not pagan. >:(

I hope you enjoyed it!

I did nothing Haloween or Samhain-related todday. Demaris and I went to see Eastwood's film, The Changeling, (script by J. Michael Straczynski). Great film- kind of LA Confidential and In Cold Blood and a bit of The Snake Pit.

When his name came up at the end, we (quietly) cheered, "Yeah! Joe!"

I begin novel-writing in approximately 40 minutes. first my LJ entry.

Fort DE
A couple of the people at the Kick-Off had watched the Fort DE special. They liked it. I don't think they get out much. ;-P

Pretty much everyone condemned the after-World Series win partying. Not because we weren't a bunch of party animal types but because the televised partying on Wednesday night at 10 and of the parade on Friday afternoon messed up some people's regular TV viewing. (Me and one other person--Wed night crime drama; others Friday soap opera catch-up on what they regularly miss the rest of the week)

Re: Fort DE
I liked the one in April - this one could have been - - I don't know, more informitave. They ran the same little blurbs about areas of the fort over and over again, I saw the one about the tunnels 4 times and I didn't see the whole show.

Yeah I missed Bones on Wednesday... sigh*
