Book Diet

I haven't read a lot since my last post:

Hellbound Hearts: a book of short stories set in the Hellraser Universe. Oddly enough one of my favorite of the stories was not by an author I had ever read before - it was by Barbie Wilde who was the Female Cenobite in Hellraiser 2. If you understood the last sentence I recommend this book.

Crossed Genres Year One: twelve short stories one from each of the first twelve issues of Crossed Genres magazine. I got this in a bundle with a yearly sub. It was fun - not the best anthology I've read but not the worst either. Fun and worth the read.

Angel Time by Anne Rice: First off, yeah it's really called Angel Time (Can't touch this...Stop! Angel Time!) After I got through the first 25 pages this wasn't bad. A little over done and I'm not sure I like what it says about people. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone who wasn't a fan of hers to start with.

Kolchak: the Night Stalker A Black and Evil Truth by CJ Henderson: Good solid pulp. A lot of fun.

Ice Land by Betsy Tobin: This is the first book I've ever read in 3rd person present tense. I don't know if I will read another one. The story was good though and now I want to write about Iceland.

I bought:

Conversations with Neil Gaiman and his Collaborators (at Wade's)

from Greg
Comes the Blind Fury by John Saul (this was the first horror novel I remember reading I think I was 12)
Someplace to be Flying by Charles deLint (to replace the copy I gave away)
Dead Souls an anthology (I held off on buying this because it has a photo of a spider walking across an eyeball on the cover)
Kindred Spirit by John Passarella (fishiness up his novels)
