I just saw an add that said "turkys were once killer rapters" as one of the biggest transfermations in nature. Obviously not someone who has ever had to deal with a POed Tom Turky.

I feel like I should be writting - but I'm a bit blocked for the past few days.

I need to clean.

turkeys vs raptors
First off, between the age of 3 & 5, I lived on a farm where my granddad raised mostly chickens but also a few turkeys. Naturally my family kept me away from the turkeys since I was little more than a toddler but I do remember my granddad talking about how mean they are.

I think people get confused about the raptors vs turkey thing, thanks to Jurassic Park (film-don't know re book) where the velociraptors are shown to be mean but also very cunning. So far as I remember, turkeys are mean but are not cunning.

True or not?

Re: turkeys vs raptors
yeah turkeys not so cunning. The raptors in JP were HUGE too. Most raptors (from what I understand) were small (smaller than my cat)

Wow I didn't realize it was that much, but I guess since we had wild ones over by my moms house and we saw them running down the street on Christmas Day! There were like 4 or 5 of them!

well think about it - If you can get a 60 pound turky at Thanksgiving they have to weigh more than that with feet and heads and insides and everything...

You know I never thought about it, but now that you mention it, I guess you are right! haha
It is kind of scarey if you think about it, the damage they could do to a person!
