have you atched the bloopers from Supernatural? You know how Jared sort of twitches his mouth and then looks down shaking his head when he's trying not to laugh? He does that in the middle of a sceen

we were MST3000 ing the thing - we had a good time watching it. Just not the kind of good time the producers were intending.

Glad you haven't killed anyone. Tends to mess up a minimum of one person's day.

Sorry you hate the season. (I hate Valentine and Thanksgiving. And Columbus Day) I've always loved Christmas until the last few years -- since no family. Now I fight really bed depression each day in Dec Sounds like you may dislike C thanks to having family. Ironic isn't it.

Though, years ago, when I lived with my parents, I kind of liked getting back to work. Except got there and there was my boss. I used to mourn that I had "no oasis". Sounds like you have no oasis either. I so get that! Hugs!

C Cottage sounds Christmassy. (Duh.) What's Smoke Signals?

most of my famly hates Christmas - I think it may be the fall out from being a family of ministers...I've never met a PK that did like Christmas.

Work will be quiet this week. We will be doing inantory and it will probably be just me and S. Becasue the other 3 won't partisapate, then never do.

C Cottage was the Thomas Kinkade Movie and yeah very Christmasy... Smoke Signals is the story of to NA boys who are going to pic up the dead father of one of the boys. It's very good.

pk family? Which side?
I'm not but I think I get it. My editor is a part-time minster (and full-time English teacher). He loathes the constant prep and work. You know Joanne of course -- she's always extra-loaded with stuff from Thanksgiving on. Though in her case, she has somehow carved out a niche from vacation beginning days before Christmas. To me that's amazing as church office coordinator cum minister's aide or whatever her title is.

How could you watch Kinkade anything? His pictures alone make my teeth ache from all of the sweetness!
Smoke Signals sounds like it must be good if authentic.
I am -- or was -- addicted to Tony Hillerman, when I had time to read.

Mom was a minister. And her dad was - going back forever.

Smoke Signals has Adam Beach in it - so you'd recognise him from being Chee (sp) when Hillerman was on PBS.

I watched the Kinkade thing becasue of the actors and actresses in it... sigh*

Huh! Never would have guessed.

Is Smoke Signals made-for-TV, or a theatrical film? I would like to see it at some point. I watched at least one Hillerman book-to-TV movie and loved the actors but I don't have a mental image at the moment. Anyway, I do have enough positive vibes about him that I'm sure he wouldn't hurt any at all in the enjoyment category.

Those must have been some good actors in the Kinkade thingie. Or, maybe I'm wrong? Wasn't it kind of Hallmark film like? Or not?

yeah.

Smoke Signals was theatrical. Dreamkeepers was made for TV (it has many of the same people and places in it and I used to get them confused)Adam Beach was in Coyote Waits at least (that was the one I saw) he also did a season on Law + Order SVU.

peter O'tool... but realy it was all about the guy who plays Kinkade (the guy in my icon) and it was a gift.

Ah, so it was eye candy of the male persuasion rather than the pretty artwork persuasion. That, I get!

I once sat through the whole Cool World movie just so I could salivate over Gabriel Berne.

How did Dream Keepers pop into this? I'm guessing DK is a TV sequel to SS? Otherwise, ya got me.

oh yeah - I'm shallow sometimes.

Cool World was... well it was Cool World.

Dream Keepers is sort of the same movie by different people.

--- Hey, not allowed to fence-sit about Cool World. Please expound.

Dream Keepers is sort of the same movie by different people.
--- DK is a TV remake of SS then? Feel free to drop your explanation about this one anytime. I fear that I am becoming perpetually confused here.

People keep telling me we aren't suposed to be as shallow as boys *chuckel*

I liked Cool World. Not enough to own it. But I've seen it a few times.

OK both SS and DK are about angry young Native boys who's dads left because they were alcholoics. SS deals with it with stories that are based in this world (his traviling companion tells stories about the boy's parents) and DK deals with it through ledgends (the traviling companion tells ledgendary stroies)

That would be men telling us that, right? Don't want us encroaching on their "territory". ;-P

I got through it the one time, based on Gabriel. If I owned it, I think I would FF between scenes with him in it.

DK sounds much better -- I like legends, not tales from families.

they want to think we are a diffrent specise or something.

I like the animated gang 'It's N-n-n-nails'. Have you seen In To the West - I think that is what it was called - an Irish movie where he is a single dad - it has horses in it.

DK has the most beautifle boy in it (I say boy - he's almost my age) Eddy Spears (see Icon)he is a lot cuter when he smiles - but this is the icon I have for him....

Into the West
I -LUV- that movie, partially because of GB but also the horse and the whole gypsy tradition and mythology stuff. I have tried to convince umpteen people to find and rent that, over the years. Sadly, I don't own a copy. I saw it in the theatre.

I think I need a Gabriel Byrne icon

I've done inventory in libraries and in a drugstore. Kind of like it except when sitting on floor trying to see what's on bottom shelves. Or in the case of drugstore, checking through deoderants. They are the worst to stock! Always falling over.

Enjoy your inventorying. I think those that refuse to cooperate sound lazy. Are they doing anything else instead?
